From Homer to Cavafy and Beyond

The Journey TV interview
From the time of
Homer’s “Odyssey” to the present day, all of us, as humans, have
been continually fascinated by the idea of a “journey.”
Whether our
individual journeys take us into the depths of the world within, or
to the vastness of the world without, our seeking always brings us
closer to ourselves, where—like Odysseus—we can finally arrive to
“Ithaka” and feel at home
In this illustrated
presentation, Dr. Lena Hatzichronoglou, will guide us through
Homer’s and Cavafy’s poetic metaphors, which will clarify for us the
nature of the journey and the significance of “Ithaka.”
